Now more than ever, small businesses are taking centre stage, driving a change in consumer spending habits from the once booming chain retail outlets to the artisan merchant.
Eleven months down and one to go before we wrap-up 2016, and as usual, the festive season has snuck up on us in its usual cheer-filled manner. Before we can even begin preparing ourselves to start a-fresh and don our ‘out-with-the-old, in-with-the-new’ mentality for 2017, we’re busy gearing up to gather our nearest and dearest and celebrate the holidays.
Once you get over the initial shock that it’s already December and the festive season is well and truly here…festive nostalgia weaves its magic and you’re mentally decking the halls in your home’s festive finery and yearning to spend time enjoying life’s simple pleasures.
It’s great to see the cosmopolitan collective heading back to their agricultural roots, going green and growing at home. From window-box planter, pop-up community gardens, and even the occasional indoor kitchen nursery. No matter the space available, the trend for green growing and sustainable living continues to spout up everywhere…and we couldn’t be more thrilled.
We are always looking for new ways to reduce our impact on the planet. We produce a range of chemical-free cleaning products that minimise waterways pollution. We manufacture our range of reusable products via virtually zero waste methods and use minimal packaging. We even recycle our sustainable products after use into energy efficient products such as home insulation!
As ambassadors for the natural and chemical-free, we’re excited that times are changing. With eco-consumerism on the rise and growing support for all things natural, nourishing and wholesome… we think the US ban on anti-bacterial hand wash could be a real game changer!
Staying hydrated and staying healthy go hand-in-hand. With busy lives and summer heating up, it’s important to make sure we maintain our intake of water. From boosting your metabolism and supporting your skin’s integrity, to replacing chemical cleaners in your home, the benefits of water are endless!
Ah the food shop…I think we can all be a bit guilty of going a tad overboard from time-to-time. Whether you get all amped up for a weekly shop, or you undergo the every-night-trolley-dash after work; with busy lives to lead and other things to be getting on with, quick and painless tends to be the number one objective.
With health, fitness, lifestyle and food blogs spanning all corners of the internet, there’s a wealth of wellbeing information at our fingertips. There’s no doubt that as we become more clued-up about what’s good for us and what isn’t, we’re keen to improve our lifestyle, surround ourselves with all that’s good and live well.
With spring finally in the air and a sense of anticipation for the Aussie summer ahead…we don’t know about you, but for us, most forms of nostalgia materialise in the form of food, and nothing says warm evenings have arrived like an Aussie BBQ.
Food shopping has definitely evolved in recent years. It wasn’t that long ago people were growing their own at home, sourcing meat from local farmers, and purchasing fresh produce from plentiful market gardens. Even with the introduction of local shopping, before the fridge became a kitchen staple, trips for fresh food were often carried out daily.
Giving something a new lease of life is such a beautiful thing, especially when said something was once a treasured possession of your own, your family or even a stranger from well before your time; being able to bring back the shine to an old treasure is heart-warming to say the least.
